Paradise Found

Many tourists choose the southwest coast, but we swear by the east coast. We are golfers and this is where the best golf courses are located. In addition, we discovered a magical resort near one of the most beautiful courses, Ile aux Cerfs.

Welcome to Your Personal Paradise

Shangri-La Le Touessrok is located on the beautiful coast of Mauritius on stunning white-sand beaches. The two private islands of Ilot Mangénie and Île aux Cerfs are very close together and easily accessible by boat. The resort is one of the most architecturally striking in the Indian Ocean. It is built on the sandy coast in the style of a village with an Africa-inspired design. Its tropical charm makes this one of the most romantic resorts on Earth. The resort offers 4 km of pristine white-sand beaches that stretch along the bay, providing countless opportunities to relax and rejuvenate body and soul. Other, more secluded beaches are located on the private island of Ilot Mangénie, which also belongs to the resort.

The focal point of the resort is a large, irregularly shaped swimming pool located in a tropical environment, where one can easily swim directly to the Séga Bar. The real gem is the Waterfront Villas, which have their own infinity pool and ocean views. Guests may dine in one of four restaurants: Indian cuisine is offered in the Safran restaurant, Japanese in Kushi. Varied international cuisine can also be savoured at Le Bazar restaurants or in Republik Beach Club & Grill. All one has to do is to choose and reserve a table. In the evening, the best local artists perform at Séga Bar.

Chi, The Spa

After golf, one can enjoy a massage at Chi, The Spa. Together with a very well-equipped gym, it is located in the central part of the resort, surrounded by tropical vegetation. Yoga lessons and relaxation in the sauna or steam room are also offered.

Golf Course on Ile aux Cerfs Island

Thanks to its unmistakable location, this 18-hole course is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating golf courses in the world. It covers most of the island, which is surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. It can be reached by boat from the resort in 10 minutes.

Anahita Golf Course

Located directly opposite Ile aux Cerfs island, the Anahita course should also not be missed. It was constructed according to strict USGA standards. Photogenicity is characteristic of all the local courses, but, in my opinion, Anahita leads in this direction. Unlike Ile aux Cerfs, it offers views of the Indian Ocean lagoon, as well as of the adjacent mountain range.

Once really isn’t enough...

In short, this is an island filled with wonders to warm the heart. Trust me, once you’ve visited Mauritius, you’ll keep going back. Because one visit just isn’t enough!
