The well-known tradition of placing fish scales under the plates at Christmas dinner is slowly being forgotten. But you will definitely remember it when visiting the famous “Šupina and Šupinka” fish restaurants and their attractive apartments in Třeboň. Following the example of the Christmas tradition, a cosy environment and an abundance of great experiences await guests throughout the year.
The Šupina family restaurant has been pleasing its guests with superb fish specialities since 1992. However, after amazing gastronomic success, the Müllers did not rest on their water lilies (laurels are less common in the centre of pond farming ...), but 5 years later founded another cosy pub –Šupinka. In 2012, popular apartments complemented the restaurants.
The accommodation at the source of these exceptional delicacies, and specifically in the historical centre of Třeboň surrounded by a protected landscape area, was named by the Müller family after the Třeboň ponds. Guests can thus immerse themselves in the waves of comfort of Láska, Víra, Naděje and Svět. Later, other apartments were added, such as Dobrá vůle, Skutek and Překvapil.
The stylish interiors are a real surprise, with their opulent furnishing as well as with their location in close proximity to Třeboň Chateau and Park. They are located in Valy Street where, during the Schwarzenberg era, carriages waited for the fisherman Šusta to check the carp-filled ponds ...
Beautiful views of the Chateau, Park, adjacent executioner’s house and Svět pond and dam walls are captivating, as well as the sensitively reconstructed historical interiors with en suite bedrooms. The apartments are equipped with everything expected from pleasant accommodation, including WiFi connection, electric kettle and minibar for various beverages. Moreover, breakfast can be enjoyed right in Šupinka restaurant!
Guests can experience an imaginative interior with enticing aroma in a design blending with history in the brand new Potěšil and Rožmberk aparments. Potěšil has its own kitchen and can accommodate 4 people. Rožmberk is a double-storey, virtual burgher palace for up to 6 guests. The almost 200 square metres comprise 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with toilets, baths and shower cubicles. The apartment boasts a fully equipped kitchen and, more especially, a living room dominated by a fireplace.
The mountainous region of South Tyrol is famous for the beauty of its snowy Alpine slopes. Despite the harsh climate, locals have come to love this region. If you visit the homestead located high on the hillside and named after the Ibex, you will definitely join them. Hotel Ansitz Steinbock in the village of Villanders will delight with the amazing view of the surroundings, perfect rooms and exceptional cuisine and, above all, with the atmosphere created by the hospitality of owner Elisabeth Rabensteiner.
A steamship passing silently on the darkened surface of the lake, the peaks of the surrounding mountains disappearing in the clouds and, in the distance, the lights of port towns.
